At QBDC, we are building AI systems that go beyond traditional analytics by decoding the hidden language of the epigenome. Through our proprietary Epigenetic Digital Data Interface (EDDI), we unlock the cellular signals that govern gene activity, enabling a new era of precision in bioprocess optimization. Our goal: to redefine how medicines are developed — not just accelerating timelines, but also significantly improving consistency, quality, and sustainability across every production phase.
By integrating machine learning with DNA methylation data, our Digital Twin technology provides real-time insights into what cells actually need to perform at their best. This allows for dynamic, in-silico simulation of bioprocesses — reducing wet-lab experiments, cutting down CO₂-intensive development loops, and anticipating issues before they occur. EDDI is not only reshaping how biologics are produced — it's setting the new standard for scalable, data-driven, and inspection-ready biomanufacturing in the age of personalized medicine.
We're looking for a statistician/data scientist/ML engineer to complete our team!
Responsibilities
- Model CpG methylation data with XGBoost, Bayesian methods, PCA, etc.
- Design and train PINNs (Physics-Informed Neural Networks) to reflect biological logic
- Help fuse biological insight with predictive AI
- Collaborate with bioprocess engineers, build ML into Digital Twins
- Analyze & simulate real bioprocesses
Must Have
- BSc/MSc/PhD in Stats, CS, Math, Bioinformatics or similar
- Python + scikit-learn/XGBoost experience
- Familiarity with PINN design and implementation
- Curiosity for biotech and working with real data
- Strong statistics foundations (PCA, regression, clustering, etc.)
Nice to have
- Experience in writing online content
- Additional languages
- Strong analytical skills
